Twenty seven degrees – TWENTY SEVEN DEGREES!
That’s the temperature outside in Milwaukee right now, according to my WeatherBug.
But don’t fret, folks.
These plummeting temperatures won’t stop the weekend from being hot. Milwaukee offers a whole host of events and pre-holiday celebrations to keep you entertained all weekend long.
Warm up tonight at the Milwaukee Art Museum’s After Dark series by showing off your air-guitar skills in the “Shredders of the Wind” competition.
Or get fired up as you watch the Bucks take on the New York Knicks, the rivalry of Marquette vs. UWM Men’s basketball, or the unbelievable skills of the Shangri-La Chinese Acrobats.
Bundle up and head downtown for the 82nd annual Milwaukee Holiday Parade and warm your heart at the same time by donating a non-perishable food item to the Hunger Task Force’s Food for Families.
Also, the 2008 deer hunting season opens Saturday and runs through November 30. Get up north or just stick around for one of the many Deer Hunter’s Widow events around town this weekend.
And if a roasted turkey, warm pumpkin pie and a few glasses of wine make you feel toasty, get revved up for Thanksgiving with Turkey Bowl at G-Daddy's BBC, Milwaukee's first Cranksgiving for the Hunger Task Force, or Present Music’s Thanksgiving Concert at St. John’s Cathedral.
Whatever you pick this weekend, don’t let the cold weather hold you back because there’s enough going on to keep you warm and busy all the way to March.
Brad and I are courtside for the Bucks game tonight if you want to wave at me on the TV. I hope I get to sit next to Spike Lee.
I am also heading home for the weekend tomorrow morning. Probably not to kill anything, but you never know.
Have a great weekend.

How the heck did you score courtside seats? Like I said before, you're a lucky guy. And I feel pretty lame in comparison.
